these two books are fairly new to me:
Father Christmas by Raymond Briggs (an English author- so more well known here in Canada than i imagine he is in the US)
this Santa is grouchy and charming, going about his day on December 24.
and
Christmas Tapestry
my sister has given us a ton of books by Ms. Polacco, and I confess i didn't get around to reading this one last year. we cracked it open a few days ago. it is a very sweet book with an unexpected twist that nearly knocked me off the couch. it was all i could do to keep reading...
