i don't usually think of fall as a time for growth but...
there has been some easy growth and some uncomfortable
our amazing next door neighbour (a pro gardener and eccentric guy) with the huge plant he grew in our front garden-
and the special garden he made for me by the path to our door-
it's all different types of 'semper vivum' or what are also called 'Hens and Chicks.'
every time i've seen any in the past 15 years or so (first saw them when we were living in the the Northwest-very common there) i've loved them and their form and name have with mothering.
i think i need to take a bit of time to get sorted around here. there's been so much happening with school starting and trying to get our tiny little house organized into a workable set-up. the homeschooling has been difficult and i am feeling overwhelmed with it all and making the right decisions for both my sanity and the family.
check back in a week or 2- by then i should be back solidly on my feet
